Eric Isaacson is chair of
the music theory
department at the IU
Jacobs School of Music.
He played saxophone in the Luther
College Concert Band
and Symphony
Orchestra, and the IU Symphonic Band. He directed Luther’s Jazz Band, and is former
choir director of the St. Thomas Lutheran
Church choir in Bloomington. He has attended wind
conducting clinics by Jared Spears and
John Paynter and studied orchestral conducting with Roger Satrang Hoel, Claude T. Smith, Douglas Meyer, Paul Boivin, and David
Itkin.
